ISSUE:

Currently 61.8% of students are attending 90% or more of school days.  Inconsistent attendance hinders student engagement and learning outcomes, which in turn affects academic performance.

SOLUTION:

Implement a positive incentive-based attendance program that encourages students to come to school consistently. This will also require the support of the parent(s). When school becomes a place that students want to be, this will naturally boost their engagement and learning. Improved attendance is directly tied to better academic results, so raising the bar on attendance is a simple but effective step toward building a stronger, more focused educational environment. Back to Basics.
